RADAR ALERT:
U.N. Conference Expected to Unleash Torrent of Anti-Male Propaganda
In 1995, the
UN
Commission
on the
Status of
Women held a
conference
in Beijing
which issued
the "Beijing
Declaration
and Platform
for
Action."
This
document
presents a
distorted
picture that
focuses
exclusively
on ill
treatment of
women, while
pretending
that men's
suffering
does not
exist.
These
distortions
have served
as the basis
for
male-hostile
policies and
laws
throughout
the world.
The Women’s
Commission
will be
holding a
progress
review
beginning
this Monday,
February 28
in New York
City. If
things go as
they have in
the past,
this year's
conference
will churn
out yet
another
batch of
exaggerations,
half-truths,
and lies.
And news
organizations
across the
nation may
well report
this
propaganda
as factual.
This time,
you can help
turn things
around.
Here's what
you need to
do:
-
Arm
yourself
with the
facts.
Read the
RADAR
Special
Report,
"The
Emperor's
Clothes:
How the
UN Hides
the
Truth of
Domestic
Violence"
at

The
Report’s
conclusion
is found
at the
bottom
of this
Alert.
-
Watch
your
local
media
for
one-sided
and
false
reports
filtering
out of
the UN
Conference.
-
When you
spot
these
biased
articles,
send a
Letter
to the
Editor.
Remember
to make
your
letter
short
and
sweet –
generally
2-4
paragraphs
long.
Keep it
factual
and
reasonable,
and try
to make
only one
key
point.
-
Send a
copy of
your
letter
to us at

Newspapers
publish
guidelines
for letters
on their
"Letters to
the Editor"
page. TV and
radio
contact
information
can be found
by looking
up the
station's
call letters
in the phone
directory.
Or you can
do a Google
search on
the call
letters to
find their

Conclusion
of RADAR
Special
Report, “The
Emperor's
Clothes: How
the UN Hides
the Truth of
Domestic
Violence:”
“Psychologist
John Archer
reviewed and
analyzed 552
DV reports
from around
the world.
His study
represents
the most
rigorous
summary ever
conducted of
the domestic
violence
literature.
His article,
published in
the
Psychological
Bulletin in
2000,
reached this
conclusion:
“Women were
slightly
more likely
than men to
use one or
more acts of
physical
aggression
and to use
such acts
more
frequently.”
But you
would never
suspect that
by reading
the many
pronouncements
on domestic
violence
from the
United
Nations.
The UN
emperor has
no clothes.”
Date of RADAR Release: February 26, 2005
